
Dr. Stephen Gangemi is the founder and owner of Systems Health Care as well as the developer of the Systems Health Care technique that he teaches to doctors and students throughout the world. He received his doctor of chiropractic degree and bachelor degree in nutrition from Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia.
Dr. Gangemi is certified in applied kinesiology and is a Diplomate of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology. He is also a Diplomate of the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition and a Diplomate of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition. He is a board certified chiropractic physician in the state of North Carolina.
He is also a six-time qualifier and finisher of the Ironman Hawaii World Championship Triathlon – the world’s most prestigious triathlon. Dr. Gangemi has competed in 20 Ironman races as well as countless other triathlons, as well as individual road, trail, adventure, and bike races. So you may say that he has a unique perspective that makes him quite qualified to treat and train athletes, from weekend warriors to elite competitors. He’s competed in a lot of trail/mountain racing distances up to 50K and personally incorporates a lot of training outside using various natural movements and barefoot running.
Dr. Gangemi lives with his wife MaryBeth along with their kids Ava Mae, Paxton, and the newest doctor at the SHC office, Dr. Makayla Gangemi, in Chatham County, North Carolina. They have two dogs, a few bunnies, and a lot of chickens and ducks, (at the SHC office pond). They have homeschooled their kids and live in an energy-efficient home. They eat mostly organic, never any trans fats or anything artificial and exercise almost daily, most often outdoors and barefoot.
