Bill Schuler, D.C.

Dr. Bill Schuler, is an AK doctor who practices in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He has been trained in multiple fields of health care which he uses to help a variety of patients improve and regain their health. Through the use of applied kinesiology and the Systems Health Care technique, he is able to analyze and interpret the health needs of the body through its many systems. He employs muscle testing, nutritional support, acupressure meridian therapy, functional neurology, biochemistry, proper body mechanics, and a multitude of other techniques to achieve this goal.

Dr. Schuler graduated and received his bachelor’s degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained his doctorate degree in chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He is a former U-17 and U-20 national team soccer player where he competed in youth World Cups and became a four year all American at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He won a national championship at UNC and was runner up for the Hermann trophy award for the best player in the country. He played soccer professionally for the San Jose Earthquakes and Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS, for Hammarby IF of the Superettan in Sweden, and for NCFC in the USL.

His thirst for knowledge about the human body began in his early college years when out of the blue he developed severe calf pain and lost his previous high level of fitness due to exhaustion. After seeing countless doctors in the UNC medical system, he was advised to make an appointment with an alternative medicine physician, my current mentor and colleague, Dr. Stephen Gangemi. He was then introduced to the world of applied kinesiology and soon realized that his symptoms did not just appear out of the blue but were due to extreme overtraining without the proper nutrition to back it up.

After six years of playing, he decided to hang up his boots, forgo his fancy economics degree, and go to chiropractic school, as he could see no better future than helping people in the same way that he was helped so many years ago. While in chiropractic school he went to countless hours of classes and seminars to learn applied kinesiology in order to apply the Systems Health Care technique. After school he moved straight back to Chapel Hill to work in the Systems Health Care office and start his own practice.
